About Us
Jane and John Kostick
Both designers and artisans with some background in mathematics, we met at a geometry lecture at the end of 1993 and got married just a few weeks later. Since then we mainly worked doing residential remodeling, carpentry, and custom cabinetry before starting KO Sticks and shifting over to full-time design and construction of geometric objects.
Featured on our web pages is some of the creative work we most enjoy doing. We've been at it for decades and hope to continue for many more.
Jane mostly does the woodworking, John the bronze work, but with a lot of cross-over. Jane's introduction to woodworking in the 1980s was in fine furniture making. John has been making things out of wood as well as metal, glass, and other materials for most of his life. We share an interest in designing/discovering elegant structures and in devising practical methods to execute them as finely handcrafted artwork.
We do much of our work on commission for people all around the world. So browse our web pages and if you like what
you see, please get in touch. Here is one particularly glowing review from a UK customer.
Interviews can be seen here and here.
